This is really great! The way the animation is so smooth.. the way the scenes transition from each other are perfect.. the style is just so cute and irresisteble that its charm will interest even the toughest crouds. This is really something special man.. and congrats with your success.. Cant wait to see the next 2 episodes.

Kinda reminds me of the impossible quiz... but you should really work on the visual design of it. It would help ALOT. The boring visuals didnt help the already not so exciting game. Polish your game the most you can before submitting.. believe me.. it will be rewarding.

You had some good ideas there... the story part was a bit weak..
Glad to see the evil ryu sprites i gave you came in to good use..
Also... that ending part was vert reminiscant of my final attack on my quiz fighter game. (the last winning animation against akuma...) Have you seen it??? Would like to know if its coincidence or inspiration! :P
Anyway.. hope to see more in the future.

"Needs more to it"

Well the engine works great. It plays much better than previous tetris games. The only problem was that it had 0 originality. You should have added more features, and diferent modes.
Other than that, its pretty good.

"Good sprite animation"

This was a pretty good piece of sprite animation. But there is one problem... you are copying proxicid's style. Yes, his animations are great and yes, you should get some inspiration from his movies but this was too much alike it. You lose any personal style to the animation and just reminds you of proxicid's.
Anyway, my advice would be to innovate, not imitate. Take proxicide's style (whci you imitate pretty well) and try and do something diferent and better with it. Only like that will people stop saying "pretty good, but i prefer proxicide's"
Anyway good luck for any future animations, and i hope this review helps you.

You are truly talented... and i want to congratulate you cause not only do you have my favourite animation on the portal (1 - The Story of Khale) but now you also have my favourite game.
I really didnt expect any less on the art, cause its obvious that you master that area in what you do, what really impressed me was how well the game was scripted making it run really smooth. Plus considiring the type of game... which definatly isnt easy to program for. I just wished it got more exposure, cause it really deserved it.
But the best part by far, was when you get the katana.... in my opinion the gameplay got 2x better after that...
My advice would be to maybe make more reasons to play again, or just make it longer. Also i dont think the music was at the same level as the rest, and you could add some more sounds. Other than that all i have to say is congratulations on this great game.

This game has alot of potential. The problem with it is that its too fast... you need to slow things up a bit. The game engine just makes things fly by. And that makes the game too hard and less satisfying.

That was actually pretty good. You need to work on the story though, it seemed a bit like everything else i've seen. Also if you want to make this into a series, you should have made part 1 much longer, it feels like you giving us instead a part 1 divided into 3 parts.
